Trial Lake

This was the first time camping with Layni in a tent and it was a bit stressful. We didn't take the pac-n-play, which was a mistake, so she didn't take naps really well. She slept really good at night though. She wanted to run around every where and there were big rocks in the campground, so we carried her around a lot in the back pack. Despite all that, it was a really fun trip! It is so much fun just hanging out and relaxing with family. The fishing was really good and we even ate some one night and it was delicious! The weather was great too! We had some thunder clouds roll in but we never got rained on. 

Bear Lake 2013

We had a wonderful time in Bear Lake this year! It was especially fun since Jeff, Neika and Tobi were with us. Tobi is so cute and such a sweet little boy. Layni keeps calling him "baby". We had pretty good weather, it only rained on us really hard 1 of the days, but it was still warm. We went in to town every night to get a shake, which are always delicious!

Moab 2013

I just realized I haven't posted pictures of our annual Moab trip. This year was especially fun! The first day we went to Arches National Park for the first time. We went on a short hike to the Delicate Arch view point. It was on the other side of the Arch so we weren't up close but it was still fun to see.  The second day Cole went on a ride and I stayed back with Layni and we went to Arches again. We walked through the visitor center and then I drove through the park while Layni slept. The last day we rented a 4-seat RZR so Layni could ride with us. She did so good and I think had a great time! We went on one of our favorite rides, Kane Creek. At the end of the ride there is a little creek that Layni sat in for a long time. The water was a little cold but it was a hot day so it felt nice. It was hard for her to fall asleep on the bumpy ride, so I put her in the backpack and went for a little walk and she fell asleep pretty fast. This short nap was the only nap she had ALL day!

                                                          

 

Happy 1st Birthday Layni J

I can't believe our sweet Layni J is already 1. This year has gone by so fast! It has been so much fun to watch Layni grow and to see her little personality develop. She is so funny and so sweet! We celebrated her birthday with a dragon fly party. It turned out really well and she got a lot of gifts! Tami made her shirt and her bow and she also made the napkin holders, which turned out so cute! Layni had a cold but was still very happy. It is great to have a wonderful family that loves and supports us! Once the party was over and we cleaned up, she fell asleep in literally 30 seconds. She was pooped!

Layni J 1 Year
