Moab 2013

I just realized I haven't posted pictures of our annual Moab trip. This year was especially fun! The first day we went to Arches National Park for the first time. We went on a short hike to the Delicate Arch view point. It was on the other side of the Arch so we weren't up close but it was still fun to see.  The second day Cole went on a ride and I stayed back with Layni and we went to Arches again. We walked through the visitor center and then I drove through the park while Layni slept. The last day we rented a 4-seat RZR so Layni could ride with us. She did so good and I think had a great time! We went on one of our favorite rides, Kane Creek. At the end of the ride there is a little creek that Layni sat in for a long time. The water was a little cold but it was a hot day so it felt nice. It was hard for her to fall asleep on the bumpy ride, so I put her in the backpack and went for a little walk and she fell asleep pretty fast. This short nap was the only nap she had ALL day!

                                                          

 

Happy 1st Birthday Layni J

I can't believe our sweet Layni J is already 1. This year has gone by so fast! It has been so much fun to watch Layni grow and to see her little personality develop. She is so funny and so sweet! We celebrated her birthday with a dragon fly party. It turned out really well and she got a lot of gifts! Tami made her shirt and her bow and she also made the napkin holders, which turned out so cute! Layni had a cold but was still very happy. It is great to have a wonderful family that loves and supports us! Once the party was over and we cleaned up, she fell asleep in literally 30 seconds. She was pooped!

Layni J 1 Year

Tami took these darling pictures of Layni for her 1 year photos. Tami is very talented and did such a great job! We are so lucky to have such a great photographer in the family!

Breakfast with Santa

Kristen's Hotel has been doing breakfast with Santa for the last few years. I have gone almost every year and always looked forward to it. This year was even more fun with Layni. She did pretty good on Santa's lap. She didn't really like him but she didn't freak out either. It was a fun weekend get away for us!

Temple Square

We met my family in Salt Lake at Hires and then went to Temple Square. I haven't been for a couple of years and Cole hadn't been for a lot of years! The lights are so pretty and it was really fun to walk around and spend time with family  Layni did pretty good, but did get a little fussy and eventually fell asleep on the walk back to the Hotel.
